In this "Strip Poker" series, Card Player covers the Las Vegas poker scene — on The Strip and around the city.

The Third-Annual No-limit Texas Hold’em Celebrity Poker Tournament to benefit Opportunity Village is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. in the Caesars Palace poker room in Las Vegas, with first place awarding a seat into the World Series of Poker.

The tournament is open to the public and features a $500 buy-in with unlimited $300 rebuys through the sixth round. There is also going to be a second-chance tournament to give the early eliminations a shot at the final table.

A VIP reception will take place during the tournament at PURE Nightclub. Friends, family, spectators, and those who do not wish to play in the tournament but still want to participate can be granted entrance into the VIP reception for a donation of $50.

The charity at hand is Opportunity Village, Nevada’s largest private, not-for-profit community rehabilitation program. Founded in 1954, the organization now serves more than 3,000 people with intellectual disabilities each year through vocational training, community job placement, advocacy, and social recreation programs.
