The third installment of the Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza begins Monday with event No. 1, a $300 buy-in no-limit hold’em tournament.
The tournament series debuted last year during the same time with 19 events. The tournaments averaged about 250 entrants. During the entire series, the total prize pool awarded was more than $1.5 million. The second Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza took place last summer during the World Series of Poker. Lasting over a month, 31 events attracted around 14,000 players generating $7 million in prize-pool money.
This year, the Venetian has added a couple of extra events and will culminate with event No. 21, a $2,500 buy-in no-limit hold’em main event, on Feb. 24. All events begin at noon. The following is the Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza III schedule:
