Strip Poker: Josh Arieh Wins Wynn Classic Prelim Event

The $10,000 Buy-In Main Event Starts Sunday at Noon

Josh AriehPoker pro Josh Arieh is the latest winner at the Wynn Poker Classic in one of the last preliminary events before the $10,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em main event begins on Sunday.

Arieh took down event No. 14, a $1,000 buy-in pot-limit Omaha tournament (with rebuys). After a field of 58 entrants put in 69 rebuys and 26 add-ons, the prize pool came out to more than $148,000. Arieh had to beat Nick Rainey of Las Vegas before he could take home the more than $59,000 first-place prize. Rainey received just over $31,000 for his efforts.

The last prelim before the main event starts today. It is a $3,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em event. The championship tournament begins Sunday at noon. For those who want to get into the event for cheaper, there is a $1,000 buy-in supersatellite tomorrow at noon, as well as a $500 buy-in supersatellite at 7 p.m.
