Seventy-three PaddyPowerPoker.com players have qualified to play in this weeks €3 Million guaranteed Irish Open. The event, which starts Thursday at 2 p.m. in Citywest Hotel, Dublin, has two day ones and a capacity of up to 1,000 players.
Of these, 64 qualified through grand final satellites, six qualified through the VIP Go Free promotion having earned the requisite 750,000 Paddy Points, and three qualified through TV tournaments or special site promotions.
If any of the grand final satellite qualifiers wins the 2008 Irish Open they will automatically play the next five Irish Opens for free. The longest lasting grand final qualifier will also win free entry into next years event.
Registration for the event closes at noon on Thursday and players looking to register on the day are advised to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
