PokerStars Sunday Million
The $200 buy-in version of the PokerStars Sunday Million was back in the $1.5 million prize-pool range again last night. The event had 7,680 entrants, which made for a prize pool of $1,536,000, the most the $200 buy-in version has had since the beginning of March. (Last week’s $1,000 buy-in event had a prize pool of $1,869,000.) The first-place finisher could win almost $217,000 if the prize pool went upchopped.
When it came down to heads-up play in the event, between Vaga_Lion and V00D00CHILE, the stacks were even enough that the two players opted for an even chop of the prize pool. The PokerStars chopping rules meant that $30,000 had to remain on the table for the eventual winner, so each player secured himself at least $147,816. Vaga_Lion eventually took down the final pot to, as Lee Jones is fond of saying, earn a small Lexus (the extra $30,000), putting his total winnings at $177,816.
The final results were:
* Payout reflects a two-way even chop, with $30,000 remaining for the eventual winner, per the PokerStars chopping rules.
Full Tilt $750,000 Guarantee
The $750,000-guaranteed event at Full Tilt required an overlay for the first time this year when 3,551 entrants bought in last night. The event requires 3,750 entrants or more to avoid an overlay, meaning there was a 199 shortfall last night. That attendance number meant Full Tilt put down $39,800 out of pocket to match the posted guarantee.
The final two players in the tourney were Lee “acumen53” Childs (pictured at right, see his live tournament results here) and LasloEsq. Childs ultimately became the last man standing in the event, an accomplishment worth $132,788.

UltimateBet $200,000 Guarantee
The UltimateBet $200,000-guaranteed event had 907 entrants last night, down from last Sunday’s 948 entrants. The tournament is still struggling to begin avoiding overlays again, as it had successfully done throughout January this year. Last night’s event required an overlay of $18,600.
The final table saw the reuniting of Eric “basebaldy” Baldwin (pictured at right) and Thayer “UCF_THAYER” Rasmussen, both of whom had made the final table of a Five-Star World Poker Classic prelim event just a few days previous (which Baldwin won). UCF_THAYER eventually busted in 10th place, while basebaldy went out in fourth.
The two heads-up players in the tournament were rockets_ifold and sachdaddy. Rockets_ifold took out his final opponent to pocket the entire $45,000 first-place prize.
The final results were:
Bodog $100,000 Guarantee
The Bodog $100,000-guaranteed tournament continued its upward trend last night when it attracted 747 entrants, up from last week’s 738 and the very low 603 from the weekend before that. Nevertheless, Bodog bucked up $25,300 as an overlay for the event.
JeniDaMoaner and dippydough went head to head for the first-place prize after outlasting 745 other entrants. Dippydough eliminated his final foe to pocket the $25,000 first-place payday in the tournament.
