Company officials of Harrah’s Entertainment have announced that the company will change its name to Caesars Entertainment Corporation, pending on regulatory approvals.

According to Harrah’s chairman and chief executive Gary Loveman, the change was made in hopes of increasing the company’s international name recognition as well as to further solidify its reputation as a luxury brand.

Of the 50 casinos worldwide that fall under Harrah’s Entertainment, the Harrah’s name will remain one of the three primary brands. The other two are Horseshoe and Caesars which was acquired by Harrah’s through merger in 2005. Harrah’s is currently the world’s largest casino company by revenue.
