Vanessa SelbstThe $1,500 buy-in World Poker Tour Ladies Championship started with 150 entrants but is now down to six players with Vanessa Selbst as chip leader.

At the end of day 2, Karina Jett was eliminated on the televised final table bubble in seventh place and play ended for the night. Selbst finished both day 1 and day 2 as chip leader and is also coming off a recent women’s only tournament win from an L.A. Poker Classic preliminary event. Coming in fourth in chips is Van Tuyet Nguyen, wife of poker pro Men Nguyen. Last month at the WPT Celebrity Invitational at the Commerce Casino, Nguyen became the first woman to win a title in a non-ladies only event, outlasting 445 players. Rounding out the table is Janice Kim of Corte Madera, California and theVan Nguyen short stack Cindy Kerslake of Calgary, Canada.
