Latin America Poker Tour This Weekend in Rio de Janeiro

Vanessa RoussoThe PokerStars.com Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) starts this Saturday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The event, coming hot on the heels of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) and European Poker Tour (EPT), will be held from May 3-5. The three-day no-limit hold'em tournament is expected to attract 300 entrants paying the US$2,500 buy-in.

Team PokerStars pros are likely to be out in force at the event, including André Akkari, Daniel Negreanu, Humberto Brenes, Isabelle Mercier, Vanessa Rousso, and Victor Ramdin, besides other world-class players.

After the stop in Rio de Janeiro, LAPT will take place in San Jose, Costa Rica, and then in Punta del Este, Uruguay.
