The $5,000 World Series of Poker Circuit event held at Harrah’s New Orleans was won yesterday by Nick Ceci, of Peachtree City, Georgia. He outlasted 248 other entrants in what is called the Bayou Poker Challenge to take home $382,928. Now that’s a lot of peaches.

Last year’s winner, Lou Esposito, again made the final table but could do no better than sixth. The final nine were:

  1. Nick Ceci (Peachtree City, Georgia) —  $382,928
  2. Tim Miles (Tallahassee, Florida) — $210,610
  3. Floyd Vanderford (New Orleans) — $107,699
  4. Gabe Costner (Long Beach, Mississippi) — $83,766
  5. Jeff Tims (Houston, Texas) — $71,799
  6. Lou Esposito (Howard Beach, New York) — $59,833
  7. Chuck Kelly (Stauton, Virginia) — $47,866
  8. Ed Jatho (Abita Springs, Louisiana) — $35,900
  9. Marc Fratter (McKinney, Texas) — $23,999

This was the final stop of the nine-month-long WSOP Circuit schedule, where players headed to 12 different Harrah’s properties. This was the fourth season, and more than 30,000 entries were made in the events (preliminaries and satellites included) and more than $25 million was won.
