Over 300 Players Turn Out For Bodog's First Foray Into European live Poker

Bodog, the Antiguan-based online gaming operator, sponsored its first poker tournament in Europe — the Waterford Open — from Jun. 12 to 15, 2008, in the Majestic Hotel, Tramore.

The main event was the €500 + €50 European ranking event and the weekend attracted over 300 players from aroundSean Prenderville Ireland for this event and the €250 and €100 side events.

The final table payouts at the main event were:

  1. Sean Prenderville — €18,000
  2. Willie Fitzpatrick — €14,000
  3. Paul Quinn — €7,000
  4. Eddie Walsh — €6,000
  5. Dave O’Mahony — €5,000
  6. Mick G — €4,000
  7. Trevor Dineen — €3,500
  8. Anthony Lynch — €2,500
  9. Martin Doonen — €2,000

Emmet Gough topped the €250 event for a €4,000 payday while Derek Cosgrove won the €100 event for €2,000.
