In the year 2003, Layne Flack won two gold bracelets at the World Series of Poker. This put his career bracelet total at five, where it stood for five years. Tonight, Flack won bracelet number six and joined an exclusive group. Only 10 players in the history of the WSOP have six bracelets or more, and now Flack is one of them. To win his historic sixth bracelet, Flack won the $1,500 pot-limit Omaha w/rebuys event at the 2008 WSOP.

Flack had to overcome the wild first days of the rebuy event (where he rebought 22 times), and he hen fought his way through an experienced field down to a the final table of nine. He accomplished that, and waiting for him in the final group of nine were seasoned professionals Ted Forrest, Tim West, Dario Alioto, and Jacobo Fernandez (who was making his third final-table appearance of the summer). Flack played well for the first half of the table, but when things got down to four handed he found another gear and crushed the last of his opposition. Along with a sixth bracelet, Flack was also awarded $577,710 in prize money, which is surprisingly the biggest win of his career.

Here were the chip stacks at the start of play:

Seat 1: Frank Vizza -- 378,000
Seat 2: Dario Alioto -- 659,000
Seat 3: Tim West -- 187,000
