Sportech, the publicly-quoted gaming operator that owns LittlewoodsPoker, reported today that poker was ‘breaking even’ as it published its interim results for the six months to June 2008.
The company said in its interim report, “We have also seen a further reduction in poker revenues with customer numbers and revenues per player down by 7 percent and 17 percent, respectively, a trend which we expect to reverse as we transfer to 888.”
Sportech has struck a deal with 888.com which will see the Israeli operator provide the technology platform for LittlewoodsPoker in the near future.
The company, which acquired Littlewoods Gaming, including its poker business, in 2000, said casino contributed £1.2 million in operating profit to the £1.4 million in overall operating profit of its e-gaming division.
