Last night, playing as yuvee04, tournament regular and mixed-games professional poker player Yuval Bronshtein made history by winning two Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) events on the same day. The win is his third overall FTOPS victory, more than any other player since the Series began in 2006.
Bronshtein began his winning night by taking down event No. 14, a $500 H.O.R.S.E. tournament. His mixed-games skills came out in full force as he bested the likes of Steve Zolotow, Bryan "badbeatninja" Devonshire, and Chris "Moormanl" Moorman in the final two tables en route to the first-place prize of $70,413.
His second victory came in event No. 15, a $200 no-limit hold'em turbo tournament. Bronshtein navigated his way through 2,472 players, including a final table that featured Mark "newhizzle" Newhouse, to take his second title of the day and the top prize of $101,975.
Bronshtein's other FTOPS win was in late 2007, when he was awarded more than $17,000 for his efforts in event No. 6, a $100 seven-card stud eight-or-better tournament. In addition to his online achievements, the native of Altanta, Georgia, has over $160,000 in live tournament earnings on his poker résumé, including a final-table appearance in both the World Series of Poker and the WSOP Europe.
