Young American Yevgeniy Timoshenko topped a field of 257 players to take down the top prize of $500,000 at the StarWorld Galaxy Hotel and Casino Asian Poker Tour in Macau at the weekend.
Timoshenko, whose previous largest live win was around $160,000 at the Irish Open in 2007 obliterated the final table at the event, knocking out six of his seven opponents including Joon Hee Yea whose K-Q could not overtake Timoshenko’s Q-Q in the final hand of the tournament.
