This year’s Barriere Poker Tournament took place in Enghien les Bains, 14 kilometres from the Champs Elysées in Paris. The €1,100 main event ran from Aug. 22 to 24 with a guaranteed prize pool of €100,000.
Many notable French poker pros were among the 90 players in attendance, including Remy Biechel, Michel Cohen, François Montmirel, Jean-Pierre Petroli, Vikash Dhorasoo, Otto Richard, Jean-March Thomas, Jerome Zerbib, and Jacques Zaicik.
The top six players who received the bulk of the prize pool were:
Jacques Zaicik: €33,000
Amir Ahmed: €16,000
Laurent Polito: €11,000
Sidate Thiam: €8,000
Franck Levi Valensi: €5,000
More than 500 players took part in the many tournaments on offer over the three poker-fuelled days.
