Phil Ivey has not relinquished his throne at the FullTiltPoker.com Million Dollar Cash Game as he has just won the trophy and overPhil Ivey $500,000 for the second time since the event started.

The Million Dollar Cash Game is Europe’s largest high-stakes cash game which sees poker legends come together once a year for a no-holds barred two-day televised tournament.

Pros such as Chris Ferguson, Gus Hansen, Howard Lederer, and David Benyamine put up $100,000 of their own hard-earned cash to compete in this event. Ivey won the bulk of it with $536,400, Mike Matusow took home $130,000, John Juanda left with $69,000, and Lederer earned $27,000 from this jaw-dropping game.

Ivey, who was in top form, flopped a set of threes against Ferguson's pocket aces and won one of the biggest pots of the game — $531,000. He was also up to his usual tricks with a stone-cold bluff against Mike Matusow, which forced Matusow to fold his second-nut flush on the river.

The event is due to air in January 2009 on Sky Sports. If you cannot wait until then visit FullTiltPoker.com/Million-Dollar-Cash-Game for more juicy details about this exciting battle of wills.
