Gutshot Terminated from Microgaming Network

Statement by Former Network says Rule Breach was Reason for Gutshot's Suspension

Last week we reported that Gutshot.com the online poker wing of the popular London poker club which closed recently had moved from the Microgaming network. However, a subsequent press release by Microgaming network said the site was suspended for breaching rules.

Gutshot Corpoate LogoThe short statement said, “Following breaches by Gutshot Poker room of the Microgaming Poker Network standard operating rules, Microgaming Poker Network terminated Gutshot's contract on the 30th of September 2008. Gutshot Poker room's account was suspended on 26th September."

Gutshot has never been far from controversy. The owner of the bricks and mortar card room was convicted of contravening the Gaming Act in the UK in January 2007 for taking a levy (charging rake) on players’ stakes and winning pots. He was fined £23,000. and subsequently lost his appeal.
