Ongame Latest Entrant to Italian Poker Market

Bwin To Open Online Poker Room in Italy

Ongame Network, the subsidiary of betting giant bwin Interactive Entertainment, today announced it was entering the Italian Bwin moves into Italian poker marketpoker market as a result of recent regulatory changes there which have opened up the market.

The network will be powered by Ongame’s new P5 Poker Engine. Spokesperson for bwin, Kevin O’Neal, said, “The Italian network is powered by the new P5 technology which offers unrivalled performance, reliability and speed – coupled with great graphics and usability. The P5 Poker Engine represents a shift in mentality as much as it represents a shift in technology: it is completely modular and provides scalability without risking stability."

Other companies which have announced moves into the market in the past two months include PokerStars.com, iPoker, and Boss Media.
