Anthony Arlott, a 45-year-old financial adviser from Leicester is the new Gala Casinos British Poker Tour Teeside champion 
having bested 212 players to lift the £30,000 first prize.
Arlott said of his victory, “It’s very difficult to put into words right now, I think it’ll take a while to sink in, but I still feel brilliant. It’s been a marathon four-day effort at a brilliant tournament with very high standards of play; the GCBPT is a really prestigious competition ”
He beat Jim O’Cannell heads up to take the title and will now play in the grand final at the Harbourside Casino in Bristol from Dec. 1 to 7.
