CircusPoker.co.uk is celebrating the success of its first ever £100,000 Second Chance Poker Classic. The unique tournament format meant that players who did not qualify live at a participating casino got a second shot at the final, online.

The main event took place at the Circus Casino at Star City, Birmingham, from October 30 to Nov. 2 and lasted 27 hours in total. 217 players entered via online and live qualifiers, and also direct buy-ins, creating a total prize pool of £108,500.

Online qualifier Adrian Lambe took over the chip lead on the final table when he sentAdrian Lambe Jon Kalmar to the rail in third place with a pair of sixes versus Kalmar’s fives. After that, Lambe had over 90 percent of the chips, but decided to do a deal with runner up Nicky Evans, who walked away with £17, 844. Lambe, who had won his first major event, took home £27,500.
