PartyPoker.com will hold a tournament for Hurricane Katrina relief

The site will match the ammount the prize pool generates

PartyPoker.com will hold a tournament tonight (Wednesday, Sept. 7) to raise money for Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.

The buy-in for the event is a flat $30 and 90 percent of the prize pool will be donated to charity. PartyPoker.com will also donate the amount that the prize pool totals to the relief fund.

For example, if 2,000 people play in the tournament, PartyPoker.com will donate $60,000, as well as an additional $54,000 from the prize pool to charity and pay out $6,000 to the winners.
