Bellagio Five-Diamond World Poker Classic Begins Friday

The Last Major Tournament of the Year Ends with the WPT Doyle Brunson Classic Championship

The last major poker tournament series of the year begins on Friday, Nov. 28, when things kick off at the Bellagio Five-Diamond World Poker Classic in Las Vegas. The first event will be a $500 SpadeClub no-limit hold’em tournament, which begins at 2 p.m. on Friday. The tournament series will feature a total of 13 preliminary tournaments and one World Poker Tour championship event. The $15,000 WPT Doyle Brunson Classic Championship begins on Saturday, Dec. 13. The preliminary events all feature no-limit hold’em, and the buy-ins range from $500-$5,000. There will also be a $1,500 seniors no-limit hold’em event on Tuesday, Dec. 9.

Full Preliminary Event Schedule

Doyle BrunsonCard Player’s live coverage team will be present at the WPT Doyle Brunson Classic Championship providing full coverage of the event. This tournament will be the final ground of competition for the 2008 Card Player Player of the Year race. If John Phan can hold off his competitors, he will emerge with his first POY title.
