Finland Beats Sweden in Pokerfinnkampen

Narrow Margin Separates Old Rivals in Annual Battle of Pride

Finland beat Sweden at the weekend in the annual Pokerfinnkampen tournament held in Tallinn, Estonia despite being Antti lehtinenoutnumbers at the final table 2-1.

The event saw 55 Finns and 45 Swedes take to the felt and four Swedes and two Finns make the final table. The eventual victor was Antti Lehtinen from Finland who won 185 853 EEK (€11,875) which was enough to secure victory over Sweden — 4480 to 4400 — who won the event last year. 

The final table payouts were:

  1. Antti Lehtinen (Finland) — 185 853 EEK
  2. David Nystedt (Sweden) — 118 824 EEK
  3. Jens Jadbäck (Sweden) — 83 421 EEK                            
  4. Daniel Lundqvist (Sweden) — 60 935 EEK
  5. Christian Öman (Sweden) — 40 827 EEK
  6. Henri Ahola (Finland) — 32 905 EEK

Organisers Vegas Events added €5,000 to the event.
