The PokerStars Latin American Poker Tour will be touching down for the first time in Vina del Mar, Chile, beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 20. The tournament will last for three days, and the buy-in is $2,500 for the no-limit hold’em main event. The “Garden City” will play host to Team PokerStars pros Andre Akkari and Alexandre Gomes (fresh off of his fourth-place finish at the 2009 Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure), as well as 2008 World Series of Poker main event final-tablist Ylon Schwartz. They will take on hundreds of players who will try to stake their claim at poker glory in the growing and exciting Latin American poker market by winning the inaugural LAPT Chile title.
This is the third event on the LAPT season two schedule, and it marks the halfway point of the season. The last two stops will include a return visit to Punta del Este, Uruguay, and another new addition, the final stop in Mar del Plata, Argentina.
