European Poker Tour Warsaw winner João Barbosa has signed for Full Tilt Poker. The 26-year-old computer engineer is the first Portuguese player to sign for the famous team.
“I feel very honored and grateful to represent Full Tilt Poker,” said Barbosa. He joins Swede Michael Tureniec who also recently signed for the site. Other Europeans on the Full Tilt roster include Jens Voertmann (Germany), Sigi Stockinger (Austria), Claudio Rinaldi (Switzerland), Soren Kongsgaard (Denmark), Nikolay Evdakov (Russia), Alessio Isaia (Italy), and Trond Erik Eidsvig (Norway), among others.
He won €367,000 for his first place finish in Warsaw, cashed in the London and Deauville EPTs as well as the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and won the Unibet Open in Spain.
He will play at Full Tilt Poker under his own name and has been assigned his own avatar.
