Recently, Luke Staudenmaier final tabled the weekly big Sunday tournament on Bodog. This type of performance is nothing new for the Pennsylvania native, who has been one of the more consistent online players for the past three years, but Staudenmaier was joined at that final table by former Card Player Online Zone host Shawn Patrick Green, who made a special guest appearance on the Online Zone to talk about the heads-up match that almost was.
Despite having a stellar live tournament year, which included a World Poker Tour final table, Staudenmaier, who plays online as IWEARGOGGLES, still had enough time to finish 29th in Card Player's Online Player of the Year race. The year before, he took 16th, and all told he has won more than $950,000 in OPOY-qualifying tournaments alone.
