Poker Turnover at Entraction Up 31 Percent in 2008

Full Year 2008 Results Shows Entraction Network Powering Ahead with Poker

Sweden’s publicly-quoted Entraction network, which is home to online poker rooms such as DevilfishPoker.com and NoIQPoker.com, today released its interim report for 2008. The report shows that net turnover for poker jumped 31 percent during the year to SEK238 million (€21 million) from SEK180 million (€16 million).

EntractionFrom Oct. to Dec. 2008 net poker turnover grew 36 percent to SEK68.9 million (€6.1 million) from the same period in 2007. Turnover between Oct. and Dec. 2008 was up 18 percent on the period Jul. to Sept. 2008.

The company said, “Entraction assimilated market shares on the poker market in Europe, which expanded by just over 11 percent in 2008. We have signed agreements with several important customers including Goldwin, Bet1128 and NoiQPoker, and it is very pleasing that PokerScout now ranks Entraction as the poker network that is expanding at the fastest rate in the whole world. The range of tournaments in Entraction's poker network was improved in 2008, which contributed to an increase in turnover.”

Across all business divisions, which include casino, bingo, and sports book, Entraction’s net turnover for the full year 2008  amounted to SEK346.1 million (€30.6 million) an increase of 47.6 percent. Operating profit amounted to SEK40.1 million (€3.5 million) compared to a loss of SEK18.5 in 2007.
