Cake Poker has launched satellites to the Canadian Open Poker championship heads-up main event playing in Canada this May. A $5,500 prize package is at stake every Monday at 9:30 p.m. ET, and the package gives players the chance to take on poker’s most notable players heads up May 14-17. The $5,500 prize package includes a $5,000 CDN main-event heads-up seat plus $1,400 (U.S. dollars) in cash for travel. The heads-up main event consists of a field capped at 128 players, a best-two-out-of-three format, and a 10,000-in-chips starting stack. As one of the most prestigious events on the Canadian Poker Tour circuit, feature tables and the final heads-up match will be televised for broadcast on The Score television network.
