888.com has a new promotion which will suit poker players and celeb followers alike. Its latest offering will see one lucky player partake in the Cannes charity poker event which 888.com is sponsoring as its official gaming partner, at this year’s Cannes Film Festival on May 19.
The event is being held in order to raise funds for Ben Affleck and Matt Damons’ charities, Not On Our Watch — a charity for the children of Darfur, and One Voice For Freedom — which acts against child slavery. Not only will Affleck and Damon play in the event, but the final 60 places will also include other top celebrities and some of the worlds’ richest donators.
The final will see seven tables, each holding at least one ‘A’ list celebrity. If that’s not excitement enough, the winner will receive a $250,000 beach house in Durban, South Africa, and get three nights, along with one guest, at a five star hotel in Cannes, all their flights and transfers, and dinner at the highly acclaimed Palme d’Or.
To be in with a shot, players must gather 1,200 points by playing on 888.com between Mar. 1 and May 6, in order to then gain entry into a freeroll event on May 9. There will also be a £150 buy-in event on May 7 for those who are a little late to start collecting points.
