Shaun 'tedsfishfry' DeebThe PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) is finally here. With only one day of action in the books, it so far has managed to avoid disrupting the top 10 of Card Player's Online Player of the Year race.

If you read the recaps in the links above, you'd know just how sick of a run Shaun Deeb (pictured left) has been on recently. Last week, Deeb moved himself into third position with five OPOY cashes and three wins. This week it was more of the same, as Deeb managed a win in the $100 rebuy on PokerStars, a deep finish in the Sunday Million, and then yet another win in the $150,000 guarantee on Absolute Poker. Those scores were enough for an additional 1,248 points, more than enough to move him into first place.

Interestingly enough, Deeb wasn't alone at that Absolute final table. Playing under a new name, MiguelPrado, thanks to the Cereus network, Steve "gboro780" Gross tried his best to go toe-to-toe with the leader board's top player. Ultimately, he fell just short in fourth place, but still picked up valuable points to add to his total. Amazingly, that wasn't the only encounter Gross had with Deeb this week. On Sunday, Gross actually shared some time with Deeb deep in the Sunday Million. There, he actually finished ahead of Deeb, and with his fifth-place score in the Sunday Brawl was able to move from fourth to second place, just 550 points behind Deeb.

A player from across the pond, Chris "Moorman1" Moorman, had a monster chip lead in one of the SCOOP events thanks to some lucky cards and Kevin "BeL0WaB0Ve" Saul, but he wasn't able to pick up any OPOY points in the process. Despite making two final tables this week, Moorman still dropped one spot to third place in the rankings.

Frtk and Mohsin "chicagocards1" Charania both were stagnant this week and failed ot pick up any points. Charania remained in fifth place, but because of all the activity above him, frtk dropped four spots from first to fourth.

Aditya "Intervention" Agarwal decided to take advantage of the sleeping giants around him and scored a final-table finish in the $100 rebuy just a few days ago. The finish earned Agarwal 160 points and moved him up two spots to sixth place.

Nick 'FU_15' MaimoneThe only newcomer to the rankings this week was Nick "FU_15" Maimone (pictured right). The young online pro has 13 final tables on the year, highlighted by a big win in January for $71,059 in a $100 rebuy.

Maimone sits in ninth place, while everyone else around him, Adam "Roothlus Levy, Adam "csimmsux" Geyer, and Jonathan "xxjondxx" Delong, had quiet weeks, failing to move up in the rankings.

Here is a look at the current leader board:
