William Hill PokerThe joint venture between Britain’s bookmaker William Hill and gaming software company Playtech is now complete, with the result being a wider range of games, tournaments, and features.

The poker site has a modern and sophisticated look with a new 3-D graphic interface and some unusual viewing modes such as a 2-D ‘bird’s eye’ view, and a 3-D lateral view.

New features include a VIP reward scheme for players of all levels, a bonus scheme which matches first deposits of up to £400, and without leaving out its existing players, it is also offering them this bonus on their first deposit or transfer on the new software.

This new venture will see the site host its first ever online qualifier for the World Series of Poker, where players will have a shot at winning a super satellite package worth $13,000 for the upcoming festival.

For those who prefer the virtual felt, there will also be opportunities to take a stab at the European Championship of Online Poker’s $4.5 million prize pool, among various other tournaments.

William Hill spokesperson, Lili Huang, said, “Our players can enjoy even more exciting games and a wider range of tournaments as we are now in the world’s biggest poker room! iPoker’s inspiring innovation and powerful collusion prevention system ensures a fair and secure gaming environment, which it’s the foundation of all changes on the new William Hill Poker site.”

The site previously operated on the CryptoLogic network. Its move to iPoker comes as CryptoLogic continues to phase out its online poker network, shifting its focus towards online casino and branded gaming.

In February, CryptoLogic announced the departure of chief technology officer Michael Starzynski as part of its bid to reduce annual operating costs by $13 million.
