Henrik Tollefsen (pictured right) is the new Norwegian Poker Champion having beaten 468 compatriots to lift the $124,000 top prize at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham, England.
Tollefsen also won a World Series of Poker main event entry at the four-day tournament which was held in England for the second year due to onerous Norwegian poker laws.
He beat Orjan Skommo heads up in a 30 minute battle which saw him call Skommo’s A-10 all in with A-K and win.
Simon Trumper, DTD Poker Director said of the event, “As it was last year, the Norwegian Poker Championships has been a great festival to rival any in Europe with a unique atmosphere that was enjoyed by all.”
Other winners at the event were Andreas Hoivold for $32,500 in the H.O.R.S.E event, Oyvind Larsen for $47,000 in the heads up tournament and Truls Hansen for $11,300 in the fixed limit hold’em game.
