The first day of action at the $25,000 buy-in World Poker Tour Championship begins on Saturday, Apr. 18 at noon, and Card Player will be providing full live coverage from the event, including live updates, chip counts, photos, and videos from Card Player TV. This annual event, hosted at Bellagio, is one of the marquee tournaments of the year, and it will attract the top professionals in the world. There will be two day-one flights, and then the remaining players will combine to play down to a final table of six, which will take place at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Apr. 25 to decide the champion.
The $25,000 WPT Championship event marks the conclusion of the Five-Star World Poker Classic tournament series at Bellagio. Fifteen preliminary events have awarded prizes so far. NOTE: Players begin with 100,000 in chips, and blinds begin at 50-100. Levels will be 90 minutes long, and there will be a 15-minute break after each level. Days 1-5 will play for five levels each (with a noon start time these days should end at 8:30 p.m.)
