Who would have thought that a video poker game played for fun would be a pioneer in video game technology. But that's exactly what Activision's "World Series of Poker" for the Playstation PSP has done.
Activision and Game Spy have teamed up to allow players playing "WSOP" on their hand-held gaming devices to connect and play with other players around the world. This is the first game for PSP to use Game Spy technology. Game Spy already works with more than 300 computer and game console games.
Players have the option to create profiles or play anonymously, choose betting limits and skill levels, or create private tables for their friends. It's all for fun, of course.
Game Spy is owned by IGN Entertainment, a unit of Fox Interactive Media, Inc.
