Dream Team Poker will host an event this summer at the Rio July 12-13. The tournament will take place during the closing days of the World Series of Poker main event. The team-based $500+$60 buy-in ($1,680 per team) no-limit hold’em event features unique individual and team scoring to award cash prizes. The first 300 teams to register will receive free personalized jerseys for the event.
Dream Team Poker began with an event at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas in November 2008. The second event was held at Caesars Palace in March 2009, and there was a huge turnout with 148 teams and 444 total players flooding the Caesars Palace poker room for the successful event.
With the huge amount of poker players who will be present at the Rio in Las Vegas for the WSOP, this third installment of Dream Team Poker should be the largest yet. “The WSOP and the Rio have really shown their commitment to the players in continuing to innovate and try new concepts,” said Daniel Delshad, CEO of Dream Team Gaming. “Bringing our brand to the Rio during the WSOP and onto the most hollowed ground in the sport is a powerful way to introduce Dream Team Poker to the world.”
Players can register for the tournament on dreamteampoker.com, and there will also be a Dream Team Poker booth outside of the Amazon Room this summer to answer questions about their team-based tournament structure.
