David Ulliott had the honour of crowning the winner of the Hull Daily Mail’s Talent Trail 2009. Five-piece rock band, Dirty Wish, rose to the top of hundreds of acts including singers, comedians, and dancers to take down £1,500 and a trophy at the final in Hull City Hall last week.
Ulliott saw many of the acts throughout the competition and presented the final prizes. DevilfishPoker.com sponsored the event which raised funds for The Echoes Foundation set up by Claire Stockton whose son Finlay has an undiagnosed brain disorder. Stockton is trying to fundraise enough to open a centre for children with special needs.
Ulliott said, “The level of talent at the show was fantastic and all the acts had something to offer but in the end Dirty Wish had it all. The crowd was electrified and their performance was flawless so they were deserved winners and congratulations to them. I might just see if they’re available for the support slot on my next tour!”
