Ocean’s Eleven Casino
Kurt Renfro took the lion’s share of the prize pool — $23,239 — for his win in the annual Memorial Day tournament at Ocean’s Eleven Casino.
Twenty-two players made the money in the $440 tournament, which saw 221 players compete for more than $86,000 in cash.
Washington
Muckleshoot Casino
One tournament for the poker bragging rights of Washington.
The 2009 Washington State Poker Championship will run from July 25 to July 27 in the Muckleshoot Casino poker room. Satellites are now running through July 24.
The tournament is being limited to 200 players, so if you have $1,500 to pony up for a seat, now might be the time to do it. Tournament organizers are anticipating a possible prize pool of $270,000 with $75,000 to first place.
The event will feature special guest commentators Tom Schneider and Eric Ulis.
