PokerStars.com has recently made two fantastic additions to its team.
The first chosen to join Team PokerStars Pro is 22-year-old Jason Mercier. This young gun is already a PokerStars SuperNova Elita and has more than $3.2 million in live winnings. At such a tender age, and only playing on the major tournament scene since 2008, he has an European Poker Tour title, an EPT High Roller title, a World Series of Poker bracelet, and various final tables and cashes to his name.
Mercier said, “Becoming a member of Team PokerStars Pro means a lot to me. I’m so excited to be playing for the site I first started playing on. I feel like this solidifies my standing as one of the top poker players around.”
The second addition to Team PokerStars Pro is Marcel “The Flying Dutchman” Luske. One of the best dressed poker players around, this Dutchman has proved he has the skills to back up the suit. He has even won awards for his achievements in the game, and has twice been ranked as number one in Europe at the European Poker Awards.
Luske has been present at many final tables, and despite his friendly banter, takes no prisoners. In the meantime, he has also found the time to create the Federation Internationale de Poker Association which is devoted to creating a worldwide standardised set of poker rules.
