The Team Championship of Poker (TCOP), which was set to run from Aug 20-23 in the Citywest Hotel and Resort in Dublin, has been cancelled. Due to legal issues, the reasons for this cancellation cannot be explained in detail, but the organisers have said that the TV broadcaster had to pull out because of economic issues, and this has led to the loss of the event’s main non-poker sponsor.
Compensations are now being offered with deposits returned in full within 72 hours plus a further credit of €500 for any inconvenience caused to the teams.
PokerEvents.ie will run individual side events during the four days as planned, and some kind of main event will be organised in TCOP’s place.
