Poker Player Swallowed by DragonsJJ Hazan’s Pitch is Declined in TV Show Dragon’s Den |

It was only a matter of time before some smart poker player took a shot, and according to BBC.co.uk, the poker player in question was JJ Hazan. Unfortunately, Hazan, who bravely stepped into popular TV show, Dragon’s Den on Wednesday night, was sent away with his tail between his legs.
Hazan, complete with dark sunglasses, told the dragons on his entrance, “I’m a poker player, I’m a very good poker player.”
The Brit was seeking £65,000 from the group of business owners and investors, to buy him into a series of tournaments, believing he could make a good profit for whoever decided to back him.
The Dragons, although impressed by the unique idea, largely felt that without doing their homework on Hazan, it was too much of a gamble, and declined. Theo Paphitis told Hazan that although he could be called a gambler by taking on and trying to improve suffering businesses, he basically has to have an edge in what he does, and so would need to have more information on the player and the subject.
It is only Duncan Bannatyne who gets down to the nitty gritty with the hopeful poker player. Hazan tells Bannatyne he intends on winning 8 out of 33 tournaments and that he would need the full amount as he may not win until later on in the series of events.
Hazan makes it clear throughout that he is a poker player not a gambler and that there is a difference, which is good for the mainstream world to hear. However, none of the Dragons take the bate, and it’s back to the drawing board for the ambitious and determined, Hazan.
