PartyPoker.com today announced it is the new sponsor of The World’s Strongest Man event to be held in Malta this October.
Players from the UK, Russia, Poland, Denmark, Finland, and Sweden can win 16 luxury trips to the event worth €1,500 to the event in two €100 buy in events at the site on Sept. 13 and 20 at 8 p.m. BST where the top eight in each tournament will win the prizes.
The package includes flights, two nights accommodation, wine tasting and a cruise around Malta.
A spokesman for the company said, “Recently we told how Danish poker’s strongest man and champion boxer Theo Jorgensen had pulled out of the upcoming Poker in the Sky in Copenhagen because of a fear of heights. Rumours that we are going to feed him with milkshakes and freeroll him into ‘The World’s Strongest Man’ are completely unfounded. Rumours that we are looking at the idea of poker’s strongest man are true though!”
