The Scoop -- David Chicotsky Talks Online PokerChicotsky Discusses Poker Training in Part One |
|
David “The Maven” Chicotsky is a grinder and training-site instructor who has made a small fortune in the online poker world, but he has no problem admitting that the game is always changing, and that the best have to do everything in their power to keep up.
“Every day, we keep working on it,” said Chicotsky. “I mean, what we’re doing now compared to a year or two ago is just totally different. We’re always keeping our eyes on the best players and seeing what they are doing and not doing, just trying to emulate that.”
Chicotsky joined the two hosts of The Scoop (sponsored by Full Tilt Poker), Adam Schoenfeld and Diego Cordovez, for this week’s episode on Card Player TV.
Cordovez asked if Chicotsky teaches his students about potential leaks in their games, and the young pro divulged what he believes is the biggest problem beginning players have today.
“The most obvious is the TV leak. I know, because I used to do this. I used to go to Blockbuster and rent 10 movies, and for 15 hours straight I would just watch movies, click and play like a robot.”
Chicotsky goes into more detail about his training site and then gives his reasoning for the screen name “The Yid.”
