Every year Phil Hellmuth does something interesting for his entrance to the World Series of Poker Europe main event.
In 2007, he along with 12 models, boarded a Hellmuth-branded double-decker bus and saw what London had to offer as they toured the city in style.
Last year, Ultimate Bet held a Phil Hellmuth lookalike contest, inviting Londoners to come to the main event and compete to see who would make the best “Poker Brat” double.
Yesterday, similar to how he arrived at the WSOP in Vegas, Hellmuth donned the garb of a Roman gladiator for his arrival at The Casino at the Empire in Leicester Square. To get to his day 1A seat he made his way by a white horse-drawn Roman guard-driven chariot through the streets of London, with of course plenty of Roman-esque models of the male and female variety in tow.
His original entrance at the World Series in Vegas was in keeping with UltimateBet’s celebration of its 10th anniversary dealing cards online where the site invited players to join its empire at the WSOP and compete for a $10 million main event bonus.
