Harrah's Hires IMG to Market WSOP

Firm Will Work to Boost International Brand Development of the WSOP

The licensing wing of Harrah's Entertainment has hired IMG, a global marketing firm, to form a global sales and marketing alliance centered around business operations for the World Series of Poker.

IMG will work closely with Harrah's across all areas of the WSOP business, including global sponsorship sales, global product licensing, official Web site development, international event development, and international television representation.

The alliance marks the first collaboration between Harrah's and IMG.

IMG calls itself the world's premier sports and lifestyle management and marketing firm. It has an international staff of more than 2,200 people in 70 offices in 30 countries. They work for some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment and organizations such as the Kennedy Space Center.

Other clients include Tiger Woods, Peyton Manning, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
