Just three Sundays remain in the 2009 Card Player Online Player of the Year race and Steve “gboro780” Gross still holds a dominating 1,196-point lead over the competition, but we have a new second-place resident in Thayer “THAY3R” Rasmussen (pictured left).
Rasmussen’s late run has seen him leapfrog the idle Shaun “TedsFishFry” Deeb and then David “Sir Sands” Sands, thanks to a fourth-place finish in the $100 rebuy on Full Tilt last Sunday.
The rest of the top 10 pretty much remained stagnant, except for the UK’s Chris “Moorman1” Moorman, (pictured right) who jumped two spots into fifth place. Moorman has done this with six, non-final-table qualifying cashes, which have been enough to squeeze past the likes of Jeremiah “Believer82” Vinsant and Jonathan “shipitobv” Delong.
The rest of the top 10 is rounded out with Joseph “hoodini10” Udine, Nicholas “GripDsNutz” Grippo, and Daniel “djk123” Kelly.
