Ryan D'AngeloThe 2010 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure has been a fast-paced affair since its start. With three days of play still remaining on the schedule, the field had already whittled itself down to an astonishing 63 players. It was determined that the day four survivors would battle down to the final three tables and end play, regardless of how long it took. True to form, the players continue their torrid pace and play wrapped up about one level before schedule.

Coming into the day third in chips with just over 2 million, Ryan “g0lfa” D’Angelo (pictured left) had a bit of a good problem on his hands. PokerStars was set to have an award ceremony for all World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) bracelet winners. D’Angelo just happened to win two, however, he had to forego the ceremony in order to keep playing. D’Angelo started off the day with a quick elimination and just like that he took the chip lead. A few more knockouts later and D’Angelo was having trouble keeping his chips in order on the table. He continued to dominate most of his opponents and ended the day as the far and away chip leader with 7,483,000.

John DuthieEuropean Poker Tour founder John Duthie (pictured right) is doing his best to represent his brand well, going deep with a big stack here at the PCA. Duthie picked up most of his stack by cracking the aces of Kent Lundmark. After a calling a preflop raise in the blinds with 8-7, Duthie flopped two pair and got his opponent to commit the rest of his stack. He ended the day with 5,304,000, good for second place.

Many notable pros were eliminated during the day, including Johnny Lodden (57th), Liz Lieu (53rd), Amit Makhija (52nd), Florian Langmann (51st), Huck Seed (49th), Bill Gazes (48th), Jonathan Aguiar (42nd), Eric Froehlich (41st), Mandy Baker (38th), Hafiz Khan (37th) and Peter Feldman (35th).

Hafiz KhanThough Khan (pictured left) fell short on the day, his run was impressive. This is the third consecutive year that Khan has gone deep at the PCA, finishing runner-up in 2008, 21st in 2009 and 37th this year.

Other notables in contention include Jeff Madsen, Robert Mizrachi and Card Player’s own publisher, Barry Shulman. The WSOP-E champion started his day off on the wrong foot, quickly losing 1 million of his stack, but he rebounded late to finish the day strong with 2,433,000, good for fifth place.

The final 24 players will return on Sunday at noon EST to battle down to the final table of eight. Card Player will be bringing you all of the live updates, chip counts, photos and interviews you want, as well as EPT Live, streamed directly to your browser so you can watch all the video action.
