Barry ShulmanIt was one of the most talented final tables in televised poker history. And soon, you will be able to watch it on ESPN2.

The sports television network recently announced the dates for its World Series of Poker Europe coverage, scheduled to begin Jan. 31 at 11 p.m. Lon McEachern and Norman Chad will commentate on the action, along with sideline reporter Kara Scott.

The WSOPE was held at the Casino at the Empire in London in September and featured an instant classic-type main event final table with a number of big-name pros still vying for the title at the end, including Daniel Negreanu, Jason Mercier, Matt Hawrilenko, James Akenhead, Antoine Saout, and eventual champion Barry Shulman.

After a thrilling final table that lasted nearly 17 hours and a back-and-forth heads-up battle between Shulman and Negreanu, the Card Player CEO ultimately won the prestigious tournament and an equivalent of $1.3 million. Episodes of the WSOPE main event will begin on Feb. 7 at 10 p.m.

But first, ESPN2 will air coverage on Jan. 31 from the first-ever Caesars Cup from London, which took place at the WSOPE. The event pits Team Europe vs. Team America in a contest that welcomed a plethora of superstars, including Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey, Phil Hellmuth, Patrik Antonius, Gus Hansen, and Annette Obrestad.
