PokerSwat.com, the online poker training video site, has been acquired by start-up poker training site DragTheBar.com.
DragTheBar will incorporate all of PokerSwat’s 240 training videos to its site over the next couple of months in a move that marks the first takeover of one poker training site by another.
Hunter Bick, chief executive officer of DragTheBar said, “We have 11 amazing coaches, and they’re putting up great training videos all the time, but given that we’re a start-up, we felt our video library was a little light. Now it’s as robust as anything you’ll find out there. We’ve got tremendous momentum now, as our depth has been increased significantly."
DragTheBar also acquired PokerSwat’s 1,000-strong membership base in the takeover. Dusty Schmidt is DragTheBar’s lead instructor and the site has acquired videos from Marty Smyth, Alec Torelli and Andy Ward.
