PokersStars.com Makes Every Sunday a $1 Million-Guaranteed DaySite Breaks Milestone, Had 100,000 Players Playing Simultaneously Last Week |

PokersStars.com is guaranteeing that all its Sunday multi-table no-limit hold'em tournaments with buy-ins of either $215 or $530 will have a prize pool of at least $1 million.
That means every Sunday of every week, PokerStars.com will hold a $1 million-guaranteed tournament. The site's weekly guarantee used to be $750,000.
The starting time for the Sunday tournaments is 4:30 p.m. EST.
The $215 tournament takes place every Sunday, except the last Sunday of the month, when the site holds the $530-buy-in tourney.
Satellites for these tournaments run 24 hours a day and start for as little as $3. Because of the satellites - and the large pool of players at Pokerstars.com - the Sunday tournaments are attracting thousands of players.
Last week, 5,326 people played in the $215-buy-in event. And in January, $140 million was given away in tournaments alone on the site.
And the tournaments and their prize pools should only get bigger. Last week, for the first time in the site's history, 100,000 players were logged on to the site at the same time. It was only three years ago that the 10,000-player milestone was broken.
