The Riverclub in Valby, Denmark says it is the first club in the country to be granted a licence to host live poker tournaments according to the Copenhagen Post.
Live poker has famously been a fraught affair in Denmark with only a handful of state-run casinos able to offer the game.
The Danish government made noises in 2009 about making the law more poker player-freindly and it looks like they have made good on this.
The club says it plans to host its first live poker tournament for money in the near future.
